This coming May 2016, your favorite romance anime Wolf Girl and Black Prince (Okami Shojo to Kuro Oji) will have a live action film.

Fumi Nikaido will play the role of Erika Shinohara, while Kento Yamazaki is Kyoya Sata.

Do you think that these two are perfect for the roles?

Yeah, I know. I'm a little late commenting on this series. But it's better now or never. I have my hopes up for Osomatsu-san because my Facebook news feed is full of the anime series it parodied.

osomatsu-san anime parody

Being a fan of Gintama, I began to like parody anime series. But Osomatsu-san's first episode didn't made me excited to watch its next episode because of the following reasons:

1. I hate the black and white screen time.

And it almost lasted for about three minutes. Yes, I understand that the original series began during the Showa period and having a black and white screen would be more convincing. But that killed my excitement.

2. It has Nobita's face all over it.

My heart is crushed after seeing six Nobita look-a-likes. No way. Nobita should only appear in Doraemon!

3. The BL scene is not that titillating.

It tainted the sacredness of the BL community. Girls watching are supposed to have romantic chills, but I didn't.

4. It's title should be Choromatsu-san.

Cos Choromatsu-san does the talking more.

So please drop this.

Before we answer that question, let's first define what giardiasis is.

What is giardisis?

Giardiasis is a parasytic infection that may affect cats due to the protozoan called giardia. When ingested, these microscopic protozoans would reproduce in a cat's intestines causing diarrhea.

What are the symptoms of giardiasis?

If your cat defecated soft, watery, or mucus-like stools, with an awful smell, then it is possible that your feline friend is suffering from giardiasis.

How do cats acquire giardiasis?

Cats acquire giardiasis when they ingest a contaminated fecal matter of other animals, or when they drink a giardia-infested water.

So based on how your pet cat acquires giardiasis, plastic food bowls are not the main culprits.

However, your vet would most probably advise you to get rid of your pet's plastic food bowls because plastic food bowls have the highest percentage to harbor bacteria which may then worsen your pet's diarrhea.

So, do cats acquire giardiasis from plastic food bowls?

The answer is no. Cats only do get giardiasis "from plastic food bowls" if you accidentally or unknowingly filled their plastic food bowl with a giardia-infested water, or if the bowl is unsanitary.
sunshine-award-2015

Rekari, my very first anime blogger friend, has nominated me for an award - the Sunshine Award 2015. This award recognizes noteworthy anime blogs, and at the same time, empowering anime bloggers to connect.

Upon checking my Google+ notifs, I saw Rekari's privately shared message stating that I've been nominated for an award. Curious as a cat, I wondered what would that be.

And poof! My G+ Anime Bloggers community was nominated for being awesome - at least in the eyes of Rekari. Lol.

Anyways, I'm thankful that my G+ community has been recognized. (Please join.)

For all Rekari's nominees, he has given the following questions:

1. Where do you draw your inspiration?

As you would notice these days, weeks, or months, I haven't been inspired writing for my blog as evidenced by infrequent blog posts. Well, perhaps most of my time is eaten up by my work.

After work, my mind is so deadly tired. For the remaining time, I mostly spend it on cleaning the house, watching a few anime episodes, doing my part-time work, etc...instead of blogging.

But what mostly fuel me to blog is my dream of being known in the anime blogosphere. As of now, that's still a far-fetched dream.

2. What is most important to you when it comes to anime or manga?

bishie-anime
Honestly, I pick my anime and manga fix based on the characters' appearance. And I'm not fond of moe characters. Nevertheless, I still look at the story line and the genre.

My favorite genres are action, adventure, comedy, gender bender, martial arts, seinen, shounen, sports, supernatural and tragedy.

Though most of today's anime and manga have great character designs, they are still not immune to be included in my "dropped list" if the story isn't that good.

3. How did you pick your blog name or writing name?

Monmonkun was lifted from the sound "nom nom nom." As for my writing name (which is Lem), it stands for the reversed initials of my full name.

4. Where do you wish to see your blog in the future?

I wish for it to be one of the most visited anime blogs. Well actually, this blog is a mixture of anime, manga, blogging, freelancing and cat topics. However, I think that I will mostly concentrate writing about anime and manga more on this blog.

5. Which anime character do you relate the most?

maruo-baby-steps

Hmm... I can't think of any girl characters, but I am able to relate with the one from Baby Steps, Eiichiro Maruo.

No. I didn't make notes for my classmates like Maruo did. I don't have a heart of gold. I could only relate to Maruo's dedication to his studies, and then I also discovered something I like doing.

And no, I didn't play tennis. Even if I like the anime sports genre, I'm not the athletic type.

6. If you could only pick one, would you rather have anime, manga, music, or video games?

I'd pick anime, cos I love moving colors. Next would be manga and then music. No to video games. Though anime fans have the tendency to become a gamer, too, I'm not one of them.

futaba-ao-haru-ride7. If you were an anime character, how would you want to look? Why?

Yoshioka Futaba from Ao Haru Ride. She looks simple yet absolutely stunning. I wanna dye my hair reddish brown! But I guess that would make me look weird.

Anyways, what made me want to be like her is because of her strong-willed and earnest character.

8. Have you ever considered pursuing a career related to anime or Japan?

Yes. I finished a nursing degree. My mum told me to study Japanese cos during that time, nurses were in demand in Japan.

So she enrolled me to a Nihongo school to be able to pass the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).

However, I wasn't able to finish the course due to some unforeseen circumstances.

9. What made you start a blog?

I started this blog while I was hunting for a new job. I don't want to be doing nothing. Plus, I have heard that blogging is a great way to earn extra income online. And that sounds cool. I'll be able to earn something extra while writing about the things I like.

10. What does anime mean to you?

For me, anime is the best leisure I ever had. It helped me to discover and do worthwhile activities that I have never done before. For example, anime helped me to explore the world of digital arts, music and websites. Not that I'm an expert to any of these, but these are something that I could polish.

I would like to nominate the following anime blogs for the Sunshine Award 2015:

Daily Anime Art - I'm following this blog ever since I was a college student. It's my main source of Bleach spoilers. You could also find cool anime arts featured here. And Sunite, the blog owner, is very nice. Yeah, he is a very approachable guy.

Otaku Journalist - I'm a frequent lurker of this wonderful anime blog. It's owned by Lauren Orsini. During the past, she mostly blogged about anime, but today, she's been frequently blogging about some freelancing tips, too. So if you want to learn the ropes of having an anime blogging career, Otaku Journalist is the best blog to visit.

Draggle's Anime Blog - I'm not really a fan of episodic blog reviews, but Draggle's got me hooked. I was fascinated by Draggle's unique, wacky and insightful episodic commentaries.

Mainichi Anime Yume - I enjoy reading MAY's anime impressions and anime lists. Sometimes, I discover new anime series to watch through reading her blog.

My questions for nominees:

1. What made you start an anime blog? How long have you been blogging?

2. How did you come up with your blog name?

3. What's the most rude comment you have received in your anime blog? How did you handle it?

4. What is your favorite blog post that you have written and why?

5. Do you have big plans for your anime blog?

6. What are your favorite anime series and why?

7. Who is your favorite anime character?

8. What are the other things you like doing aside from watching anime?

9. Do you cosplay? (Please share pictures.) If not, who is your favorite cosplayer?

10. What is your advice to anime fans who are planning to start a blog?

Please feel free to answer any of these 10 questions. Afterwards, please nominate other anime blogs you think are deserving for the Sunshine Award 2015. Thank you very much.

When Shingeki no Kyojin's live action movie was played in Philippines' SM cinemas, Pinoy anime fans made a rave about it. Some liked the movie, while some did not.

Though SnK wasn't on par with the Ruruoni Kenshin movie, SnK was the talk of the social media up until now.

Pinoy anime fans just couldn't get enough of SnK; they even discovered the Titans' Pinoy counterparts and these have been circulating all throughout Facebook anime groups.

In case you missed the laughs and fun, here are the Titans' Pinoy doppelgangers:

titan-willie-revillame

This fat, creepy Titan has the spitting image of Willie Revillame, a Pinoy host and actor.

Do you think that the Titan is cold? Bigyan ng jacket!

I wonder how would Willie react to this comparison made by the Filipino netizens... Will he say "Don't do that to me?!"

titan-aling-dionisia

Do you think they are twins? Well, this funky, emo elderly is none other than Manny Pacquiao's mother. Yes, the People's Champ.

Kamusta naman ang pis ng Titan at ang pis ni Aling Dionisia?

titan-mikey-bustos

They are really alike at any angle. Mikey Bustos, the Filipino Canadian singer and comedian, must have been really an extra in the SnK cast.

titan-dennis-padilla

Look at those eyes and cheeks. Aren't they the same? This man in checkered blue is Dennis Padilla, a Filipino comedian and actor.

titan-anime-guy

This is a Titan cosplay without the need of a costume.

Only this guy's eyes and front teeth are enough to make him the next Titan sensation.

This guy isn't an actor. He's just a random anime fan who "willingly" parodied this Titan's face and posted it on social media.

Let's give him a round of applause.

And here is your much awaited bonus!

pauper-binay

Remember the mysterious guy Armin bumped into the first scene? He's actually Vice President Jejomar Binay, the most loved politician in the Philippines! Lol.

Have I missed anything? Are the Filipino Titans already complete? Post in the comment box!
Would you have the courage to use your body as a shield from a collapsing building just to save your pet cat?

An old man from India didn't think twice to save his beloved pet from the collapsing apartment building in Thane.

This unfortunate incident claimed the lives of many including that brave old man.

But his heroic deed didn't go in vain as the National Disaster Response Force was able to recover his 2-year-old female pet cat from the debris.

Apparently, everyone has fallen for this guy...

Hatake Kakashi

Despite being a semi-pervert ninja, Hatake Kakashi has made every fangirl screaming because of his mysterious looks.

Everyone wants to know the face behind his mask. Heck, the Naruto series even dedicated an episode for this; where Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura have the mission to reveal Kakashi's face. But of course, they failed.

But alas! Kakashi's full face has been finally revealed by Kishimoto Masashi. Thanks to the Naruto art exhibition that happened in Tokyo last April 25.

Visitors were able to get a free Official Guestbook Shinden Fū no Sho book that contains Copy Ninja Kakashi's real face.

hatake-kakashi-face-revealed

Hmm... Not really that striking. And he has a mole on his face. Not that I have a problem with it. I just didn't expect the mole.

So what do you think? Did you expect him to be more bishie-like?
Eikyuu Shimei Onegai Shimasu Manga Summary:

From The Paper Dolls Project: Towako and her brother has been living together since their parents passed away. Suddenly, a host of ikemen that are friends of her brother appears and they are all living together! One of them especially, seems to be spending alot of time in the house together with Towako, who's not just a shut in, but a NEET as well. Will Towako be able to escape from the shell that binds her due to past bullying and the trauma of her parents death with the help of this Ikemen?

Eikyuu Shimei Onegai Shimasu
Eikyuu Shimei Onegai Shimasu

Who wouldn't try reading Eikyu Shimei Onegai Shimasu after seeing a manga page like that?

Ugly girl plus beautiful men? That would be an exciting reverse harem story. This gives many hope to several average-looking guys and gals that you can still have a chance to live in paradise.

But meh...

Goal-setting is okay. But the motivation is unrealistic.

What kind of people would be motivated to help someone else's neet sister to recover from her I-hate-society illness just for her cooking? When in fact, they hardly even know her and her brother. That's just...impractical and self-imposing. Are they some sort of masochists?

Of all people, why him?

And the person who offered help to operation recovery is the person whom you'd least expect it from. Seriously? Him? When I have read this part, I would like to drop reading the manga, but it's not my etiquette not to finish reading a chapter. So I continued.

From unrealistic to hilarious

I didn't expect the hosts' way of making Towako see their good side. The flashy men have dressed up as nerds. And I think they're awfully hilarious. Their character has become a total creepy evolution. But Towako only sees it as a form of teasing. Well, we couldn't help it if she felt that way, so you better read the manga to understand the story.

And then the drama...

I was just in a state of laughter and then the drama hits. From unrealistic to hilarious events, Eikyuu Shimei Onegai Shimasu has transitioned to the god of drama. It almost made me cried. I have became a softy. What a shame.

The verdict

So is this manga worth reading or not? If you love the reverse harem genre and Cinderella-type stories, Eikyu Shimei Onegai Shimasu is for you.

How about me, you ask? Hmm... Honestly, I find this manga good. However, I will not include this in my bookmarks. I guess, I'll watch it if it already has an anime adaptation.
I was just idly browsing the web for funny cat memes. And I happened to see this post about Garfy, the Angry Cat.

Will Garfy also make his way to fame just like Grumpy Cat? If looks could kill, Garfy has the potential. Don't you think?

You're dead meat. **Scary**

But sometimes, Garfy looks awfully sweet. Where did that murderous intent go?

I'm actually a nice cat.

For more pictures of Garfy, visit his Flickr page.

Would you lie in order to get closer to the one you really love?

Would you rather choose being Friend A just to be with the one you love?

Would you rather accept the pain of being just a friend so as not to hurt your other friend?

Indeed, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is such a masterpiece. Sacrifices... Being considerate of each other's feelings... These are what this anime teaches about.

Frankly speaking, I intended to drop the series.

Its synopsis says that its about music and romance, and the bishie images of the men in La Corda d'Oro came flashing through my mind.

But ugh! When I saw the characters of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, they lack that oozing sexy appeal!

What kind of romance will await those characters that are a bunch of normal-looking children who do not really look like love items?

But I'm glad I didn't drop it.

Unrequited love... Ah, the feeling of youth. You hold your own feelings yet you can't stop showing it.

But what makes this anime more fantastic is its ending.

Though a tragic one, it gives you a feeling of satisfaction.

Even if Arima Kousei and Miyazono Kaori were separated because of Kaori's unfortunate death, we're glad to know that the feeling is mutual.

Nevertheless, it's still a sad ending.

For me, Kaori is the perfect match for Kousei instead of the barbaric and muscle-brained Sawabe Tsubaki.
